At the end of 2017 the high-tech cargo terminal “Moscow Cargo” was put into operation with a throughput capacity of 380 thousand tons of cargo per year, allowing Sheremetyevo International Airport to expand its route network and significantly increase cargo turnover on international routes.
Over the 11 months of 2021 the volume of international cargo traffic processed by Sheremetyevo reached 255,5 thousand tons, thus exceeding the record figures for the full year 2019 by 4% and accounting for about 83% of all international cargo transported through the airports of the Moscow aviation hub.

The cargo complex is equipped with an automated seven-tier system for racking storage and cargo movement, designed to accommodate 3,198 house pallets, a four-tier container storage area equipped with an automated ULD processing system, with a total capacity of 576 cells, including 60 cells designed for ULD storage with temperature-controlled sensitive cargo, 13 conveyor lines with access to the airfield, 29 cargo collection/delivery points
