Medeo is the world’s largest high-mountain complex for winter sports with the largest artificial ice field area of 10.5 thousand m². The high mountains and the purest mountain water for filling the ice contribute to achieving high results in speed skating. Medeo remains the leader among stadiums in the number of world records set here at all distances among men and women (320 records between 1952 and 1988). The Almaty skating rink bore the title of “factory of records”. It is a state monument of urban planning and architecture of Kazakhstan of Republican significance.

Artificial ice field area of 10.5 thousand m², a new multimedia scoreboard with an area of 200 m², medical rehabilitation and press centers, hotel complex for 400 people, fitness center with an area of 3.400 m². Up to 3 thousand people can skate at the same time on the ice arena of the skating rink. The number of seats in the spectator stands is for 8,100 people.
